A vintage ebony violin tuning peg is the basis of this funky Lantern Fly brooch/object. It has been painted a deep red, carved, distressed, and is embellished with hand cut, textured and pierced sterling silver wings with a textured and antiqued brass wing shield and a black celluloid disc. The body/leg section is hand fabricated in nickel silver, and is completed with yellow jade eyes. Fun and funky, this pin is fit with a stainless steel fibula pin stem allowing it to not only be great for lapels and sweaters, but also is great for shawl and wrap closures!
