This table top trinket box is constructed using brass and nickel silver saxophone parts, sterling silver, brass, wood, creek stone, flocking and epoxy resin. The shell is made from carved bass wood and inlaid with creek stone and slag with a flocked grass path. Inside the lid is hidden a snail shell, mimicking the snails’ shell. Perched atop the lid is a fabricated brass and sax part Grail Cup, which functions as a point to open the box. Substantial, clever and intimate, this is a very unique creation.
